Seeking neutrino emission from AGN through temporal and spatial cross-correlation

Active galactic nuclei (AGN) are a promising source for high-energy astrophysical neutrinos (HEANs). By the end of 2022, Vera C. Rubin Observatory (VRO) will begin to observe $\gtrsim10$ million AGN with regular and high cadence. Here, we evaluate capacity VRO, in tandem various current upcoming neutrino telescopes, establish as HEAN emitters. To do so, assume that luminosity from any given at time is proportional electromagnetic luminosity. We then estimate error which this fraction can be measured through spatial temporal cross-correlation VRO light curves IceCube, KM3NeT, Bakail-GVD. find it may possible detect contributions $\sim3 \sigma$ level flux even if these contribute only $\sim10\%$ flux. The bulk information comes correlations, although improves sensitivity bit. results also imply an angular correlation detected signal-to-noise, there prospects between variability arrival times. small estimated here accessible entirety sample suggests valuable on character emitting obtained similar analyses different sub-populations AGN.
